Racket of concrete, 11 precautionary measures of the Dda

(ANSA) – VARESE, 25 JUL – Eleven people have been subjected to precautionary measures carried out by the carabinieri in Saronno (Varese), with accusations, for various reasons, of extortion and disruption of the auction, aggravated by the mafia method, at the request of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Milan. It is a group of entrepreneurs and professionals operating in the construction and earthmoving sector, residing in the Varese area, some originally from Reggio Calabria and believed to be linked to the ‘Ndrangheta.

According to the military investigations, by leveraging intimidation, the suspects ousted the competition, managing to win contracts in the area.

The investigating magistrate of Milan has ordered five of them to be remanded in prison, one to be home arrested, two bans on staying in the province of Varese and three signature obligations.
