(ANSA) – ROME, JUL 26 – A tanker transporting LPG overturned shortly after 1pm on the A16 Naples-Canosa motorway, in the stretch between Cerignola Ovest and the A16 / A14 junction. The road was closed in both directions at km 167, as communicated by Autostrade per l’Italia. There was no gas leak. The driver was rescued and transported to the Tatarella hospital in Cerignola (Foggia). At the moment, his condition would not be serious. Firefighters, medical aid, patrols of the Traffic Police and the staff of the 8th Tronco di Bari Directorate of Autostrade per l’Italia operated on the spot.
Drivers traveling on the A16, after the compulsory exit at Cerignola Ovest, will be able to take the ordinary road network, and then return to the A14 at Cerignola Est or Canosa (Bat). (HANDLE).
