(ANSA) – TURIN, 03 AUG – Three dead and three injured in serious condition are the toll of the road accident that occurred yesterday evening around 7 pm on the Ivrea-Santhià motorway junction. The accident occurred about two kilometers from the Albiano junction towards Ivrea in a stretch without traffic dividers in the middle of the road. The collision involved a Fiat Panda and a Toyota Yaris. The victims are a man, a woman and a 15-year-old boy: they were all aboard the Panda which finished its race in the ditch at the side of the roadway.
The three motorists aboard the Yaris were injured and were transported to hospital in serious condition. Dynamics of the accident under scrutiny by the traffic police: one of the two cars would have made a lane jump ending up on the opposite lane and causing the crash. Traffic in the direction of Ivrea was blocked and the link road closed to allow surveys.
