(ANSA) – MILAN, 03 AUG – Supporting the fight against addictions and winning the daily challenge that leads to mental and physical rebirth: this is the goal of the ‘Life Olympics’, organized by the Lautari, in the Bresciano in Pozzolengo headquarters of the Community. The competitions, the organizers explain, will be held from 8 to 17 August, ending with a great ‘Renaissance Festival’ linked to the values ​​of sport and hope.

The arrival of boys from all over Italy is expected to compete in men’s and women’s soccer tournaments, marathon, volleyball and relay. The event will involve 300 young Lautari people who are welcomed in the offices of Pozzolengo and Bedizzole (Brescia), Como, Pordenone, Rome and Florence. The competitions will take place inside the Borgo La Caccia estate. It is the twenty-sixth consecutive year of the ‘Life Olympics’ which “will try to give a new breath to the lives of young people who struggle daily against the monsters of their addictions”.

“This has been a complicated year for our Community – commented Andrea Bonomelli, president of Lautari -, but being able to celebrate the games for the 26th consecutive year is a reason for hope. For us these sports competitions are important because over time we have understood that the healthy competitive challenge helps these young people to regain the will to live and gives them the strength to get out of the bottleneck “.
