(ANSA) – TURIN, 03 AUG – A 51-year-old farmer from Lusigliè lost his right leg from the thigh down and was seriously injured yesterday evening while working in a field in the Fogliola region in San Giorgio Canavese (Turin).
According to an initial reconstruction of the incident, the man was near a motor pump for water, in action to irrigate the corn fields. Suddenly, for reasons yet to be ascertained, he put his leg too close to the machine, which dragged his leg between the gears. Urgently transported to the Turin CTO, he was also subjected to a delicate surgery. The investigations by the carabinieri of the Ivrea company and by the inspectors of the Spresal (Prevention and Safety of Workplaces Service) are underway. (HANDLE).
