Yacht-dinghy collision in Costa Smeralda, no injuries

(ANSA) – PORTO CERVO, 06 AUGUST – New accident at sea in Costa Smeralda, fortunately without injuries. Two boats that were sailing in the bay of Porto Cervo collided this morning. This is the super yacht “Ciao”, 52 meters long, which hit a rubber dinghy with two people on board, which was also coming out of the bay. The alarm went off at the end of the morning, when a Mayday was launched on channel 16 dedicated to emergencies. In fact, a leak opened in the dinghy and the boat began to take on water.

Immediate intervention of a police patrol boat stationed in the Maddalena archipelago, which is headed by the territorial department of Olbia, led by the commander Davide Crapa.

No injuries are recorded among the people on board in the respective boats.

The military patrol boat then escorted the vessel to the nearest shipyard to carry out the necessary repairs. (HANDLE).
