(ANSA) – TURIN, 08 AUG – The guarantee interrogation will be held today in Ivrea for the validation of the arrest of Giovenale Aragno, the 73-year-old pensioner from Venaria Reale (Turin), who yesterday morning, at the height of a dispute, killed his wife, Silvana Arena, hitting her with several blows to the head.
Prosecutor and carabinieri have identified the motive that would have pushed the man to rage against his wife in their accommodation in via Sandre: the problems that arose with the woman in the management of the couple’s eldest daughter, a 46-year-old who has located in a therapeutic facility in Terni. However, several points still need to be clarified for the investigators.
Among other things, yesterday, just before 11, it was Aragno himself who called 112 to report that he had attacked his wife. On the phone with the carabinieri, however, he did not say that he had killed her and when the soldiers reached the house, the man was trying to clean up her crime scene. (HANDLE).
