(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 08 AUG – The reclamation operations continued today in the areas of the Trieste Karst most affected by the vegetation and interface fires which in recent days have employed the firefighters of Friuli Venezia Giulia, the AIB volunteers ( Forest Fire Protection) of the Regional Civil Protection and the Regional Forestry Corps FVG. Thanks to the use of two drones from Veneto, the Trieste firefighters, whose rescue device remains enhanced to cope with this type of intervention, are checking from above the possible presence of residual outbreaks in the most inaccessible areas of the karst territory.
With the coordination managed by the UCL (Local Command Unit), the ground teams, equipped with light firefighting equipment, reach the aforementioned residual hotbeds, previously located by the drones, and put them out.
