(ANSA) – RIMINI, AUGUST 10 – The closure of the Rimini hotel in Marebello has been ordered, where tourists continue to arrive who had paid the deposit for rooms that are not actually available. The manager, who resides in the Turin area, was notified of the deed.
Travelers who arrive at the two-star hotel, with the deposit already paid, do nothing but report. The Municipality had sealed the structure last Friday for failure to comply with fire regulations. But the measure had not yet been notified because the manager closed the Pec and because he resides in the Turin area. In recent days, therefore, the municipal messengers have brought the order by hand to deposit it at the municipality of Druento, an act that was withdrawn on Tuesday by the manager who from that moment has 72 hours to close the business. Next Friday – reports the local press – local police officers will go to seal the structure.
The hotel was rented by a family to the Piedmontese manager for the summer season. “We are among the scammed people, they haven’t paid us part of the rent, and they are ruining our image”, declared the owners, who reiterate: “We have nothing to do with it”. As it turns out, the managers would have implemented the same mechanism last summer in another facility in nearby Cattolica. Municipality, Hoteliers Association and Visit Rimini are looking for accommodation for families who have arrived, some with children, without a room. Not an easy operation given the high season.
