(ANSA) – CAMPOMARINO, AUGUST 10 – Moments of fear, people in the street, the memory of the earthquake of August 16, 2018, with magnitude 5.1, which affected most of the municipalities of Lower Molise causing various damage to homes and infrastructures, then the return in homes and to ‘normality’. Last night in Campomarino, a tourist resort on the Molise coast, two earthquakes were clearly felt, the first at 1.30 am with magnitude 2.9, the second at 2.12 with magnitude 2.4, both with epicenter in the sea.
From what has been learned, the earthquake did not cause damage to people and things. This morning in the seaside resort, routine activities resumed with tourists on the beach and many comments on what happened last night. “I was so scared”, “in those moments I was paralyzed with terror”, “I immediately thought about saving my children”. Phrases repeated almost in photocopy by those who lived an August night, understandably marked by fright. (HANDLE).
