Cleared hotel in Rimini that sold ‘ghost’ rooms

(ANSA) – RIMINI, AUGUST 12 – The evacuation of the two-star hotel in Rimini has been completed, which for the month of August had sold dozens of rooms that were not actually available.
The Municipality has found accommodation for the unfortunates in other structures with the support of Federalberghi and Visit Rimini. It took a week to notify the manager of the closure measure, given that he resides in the Turin area. In fact, the hotel is not owned by him.
The traffic police of Rimini, with the support of the police, were able to execute this morning the order prohibiting the continuation of the accommodation activity for violations of the Tulps and of the fire prevention regulations following previous inspections. The operation was carried out at the same time as the relocation of guests to other hotels in the city of Rimini where they can stay for free up to and including mid-August.
“An act of generosity and love that well represents healthy entrepreneurship and the widespread sense of hospitality, which have always been winning and unique characteristics of the tourist offer of this territory – is the comment of the Rimini municipal administration – a generosity and a love for the community that stands out even more in the face of these individual cases of management outside any law and any civil context which, beyond the judicial actions that will surely proceed individually each of the people who have suffered the scam, will carefully see the Municipality of Rimini will evaluate the possibility of filing a civil action against those responsible for this affair, to protect the guests, the good name of the city and all responsible entrepreneurs “.
