(ANSA) – NAPLES, 12 AUGUST – A weather alert for rains and thunderstorms with a yellow hydrogeological criticality level is currently in force in Campania. The notice is valid until 8pm today. The disturbance will still persist in the region.
The Civil Protection of the Campania Region has issued a new Yellow-colored criticality notice for rains and thunderstorms for tomorrow on all areas of Campania. The notice will be valid from 12 noon to midnight on Saturday 13 August.
Showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected, even intense ones, with consequent hydrogeological risk.
Thunderstorms will always be characterized by rapid evolution and forecast uncertainty: they could be sudden and also give rise to lightning and hail with consequent fall of branches or trees.
Flooding, rising watercourse hydrometric levels, rock falls and occasional landslides linked to particularly fragile conditions of the territory are possible.
The Civil Protection of the Campania Region recommends that the competent bodies put in place all measures to prevent and combat the phenomena envisaged in relation to hydrogeological risk, in line with the respective municipal plans.
It is also recommended to pay attention to the public green, for the possible fall of branches or trees. (HANDLE).
