(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, 12 AUGUST – Over eighty requests for intervention in southern Sardinia arrived at the fire brigade operations center. Among the priorities are the rescue of people who have been stuck in their cars, the safety of roofs and the fall of trees that obstructed the roadway.
More critical issues were found in Isili, Gergei, Mandas, Elmas – where part of the terminal was also flooded -, Assemini, Uta, Decimomannu and Sestu and in Iglesiente.
In particular in Sestu (Metropolitan city of Cagliari) in via Don Milani the gusts of wind tore a photovoltaic system from the roof of a shed: part of it ended up on the street, fortunately without involving people.
In Cagliari, in via Liguria, some elements of a scaffolding in a building under renovation have detached from the facade. (HANDLE).
