(ANSA) – MILAN, AUGUST 14 – Serious traffic problems with queues of several kilometers on this eve of August in Lecco due to the forced closure of the 36 Milan-Lecco-Valtellina highway, at km 56,000 heading north to Abbadia Lariana . The measure was made necessary by the fall of a discharge of rocks last night along the route on the border between the municipalities of Lecco and Abbadia Lariana.

Nobody was hurt.
The stretch was only reopened to traffic around 1pm.
The repercussions on traffic are very heavy, as the highway 36 is the main link with the Upper Lake, Valtellina and Valchiavenna, in a day of exodus from Milan and Brianza.
