(ANSA) – VIAREGGIO (LUCCA), AUGUST 15 – Week of August with full of tourists and vacationers in Versilia. According to the tourist operators of the coast, the presence of 2018 and 2019 is back in line after two summers of heavy Covid.
Among the presences, those from Northern Europe are highlighted, as well as Swiss, French, Dutch. The Swedes mark a return after the parenthesis of the pandemic, while the Germans seem less than in previous summers, as underlined by Maria Bracciotti, president of the hoteliers of Lido di Camaiore and Versilia. There are obviously Italians who are usually the ones who move the most for Ferragosto. In Forte dei Marmi it is sold out: in the Versilian town they also expect a ‘strong’ September and October; now 60 per cent of the vacationers at the Forte are Italians, 40 per cent foreigners, Americans, Europeans, there are also Arabs. The coexistence of well-to-do Russians and Ukrainians in the Versilia area is remembered.
There is satisfaction among the tour operators, even if – they point out – it is too early to make budgets, especially since the thing that worries the insiders very much is the increase in electricity and gas bills with the huge increases expected in the upcoming invoices. (HANDLE).
