(ANSA) – BOLOGNA, AUGUST 16 – The second cargo ship from Ukraine to Italy after the diplomatic release of the Istanbul agreement at the end of July is in Ravenna, waiting to enter the port, for safe transport of grain and food from Ukrainian ports. This is the Sacura, under the Liberian flag, which transports 11 thousand tons of soybeans for animal feed. After months of blockade, she left the Ukrainian port of Yuzhnyy on 8 August and stopped off in Istanbul on 10 and 11 August for the scheduled security checks.
Moored on the quay at the port of Ravenna is still the Rojen, which should end its commercial operations today after arriving on 12 August with its precious cargo of over 14 thousand tons of corn seeds, always destined for animal feed.
The third ship from Ukraine to Italy is currently underway, and is expected late morning today at the Apulian port of Monopoli.
