(ANSA) – FLORENCE, AUGUST 18 – Other 1,204 new cases (average age 52 years, positive / swab ratio 13.13% down from the previous 13.90%) and another 11 deaths from Covid in Tuscany at 24 hours. The latest victims were 2 in the areas of Pistoia, Lucca and Grosseto, 1 in those of Florence, Massa Carrara, Pisa, Livorno and Arezzo. The total deaths have risen to 10,589 people since the beginning of the epidemic.
The new cases bring to 1,364,093 the total positives recorded since the beginning (+ 0.1% on the total of the previous day). Even the healed – which were 1,672 with negative swabs – grew by 0.1% of the total and reached 1,269,225 (93% of total cases). Currently positive are 84,279 today (-0.6% compared to yesterday). Among them there are 412 patients (-32 people the balance between admissions and discharges on yesterday, equal to -7.2%) of which 17 in intensive care (-2 people the balance between admissions and exits on yesterday, equal to -10 , 5%). Other 83,867 positive people are in isolation at home with “mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment – the Region states in its daily report -, or are symptom-free” (-447 on yesterday, equal to -0.5%).
