(ANSA) – MILAN, AUGUST 18 – “Bad weather in Lombardy: heavy rains and thunderstorms over most of the region until Friday, August 19. Over the weekend, the sun returns and temperatures rise”.
These are the meteorological forecasts for Lombardy released by the ARPA.
On a general level, an intense flow at high altitude from the southern quadrants, associated with an Atlantic gap, currently centered on the Iberian Peninsula, in transit on the Mediterranean, will maintain conditions of marked instability over much of the region until tomorrow morning, with widespread rainfall. Therefore, the move away to the east of this structure will bring back to increasingly stable conditions for the following days.
For today, in particular, moderate or strong diffuse rainfall is expected, of a downpour and thunderstorm character, with phenomena that may also be of strong intensity.
Tomorrow, however, the rains will be widespread but weak or moderate between night and morning. So in attenuation and exhaustion starting from the western sectors. Residuals in the evening, more likely close to the Alpine mountains. With a reverse and temporal character, with phenomena that may still be of strong intensity until early morning.
On Saturday, however, clear or partly cloudy skies with some thickening close to the hills. Sunday and Monday will be mostly cloudy, with low probability of precipitation mostly limited to the Alpine mountains. (HANDLE).
