(ANSA) – NUORO, AUGUST 19 – A large fire, fueled by strong gusts of the mistral, developed around 9.30 pm in the tourist resort of Sos Alinos, a village in the Gulf of Orosei next to Cala Liberotto, in these days full of vacationers. The flames reached a few hundred meters from the houses and a caravan was lapped by the front of fire which is kept under control by the forces in the field. Two teams of the Forestry Corps, two of the Fire Brigade, four teams of the Forestas Agency, the urban brigade, the barracelli and the volunteers of Galtellì are operating on the spot.
The mayor of Orosei, Elisa Farris, gathered the Coc in the Municipality: “We are ready for any eventuality, even to evacuate the houses if there is a need – the first citizen told ANSA – I am in constant contact with the Civil Protection which is organizing remediation tomorrow morning with two Canadair and three helicopters from the regional fleet “.
