(ANSA) – GENOA, AUGUST 20 – A passenger on a ferry who suffered a heart attack was rescued by helicopter after a joint intervention by the fire brigade, 118 and the Genoa harbor master’s office. It happened today off the Ligurian capital aboard a ship bound for Sardinia. The man began to feel ill as the ship, the Gnv Allegra, bound for Porto Torres, was about twenty miles from the coast.
After the first aid on board, the ship reversed its course and 7 miles from the port it was reached by the fire brigade Drago helicopter, with 118 medical personnel on board, and by the harbor master’s patrol boat. Given the conditions, the passenger was taken to the San Martino Hospital after being disembarked at the Porto Antico. (HANDLE).
