(ANSA) – CAGLIARI, AUGUST 22 – He lured a minor on social media, asking for photos in exchange for money, then he made an appointment with her, but waiting for him he found a policewoman of the Cagliari mobile team. A 42-year-old was arrested by the police on charges of child prostitution.
He was arrested last Saturday but the investigation began 11 days ago.
The man, according to what was ascertained by the investigators of the mobile team, coordinated by the manager Fabrizio Mustaro, lured a 12-year-old from Cagliari on Instagram. He conversed with her asking her for photos of her first and then meeting her to have sex in exchange for money. The little girl did not fall into the network and frightened by the obscene contents of the conversations she told everything to her father, who immediately contacted the Cagliari Mobile Squad. A policewoman from the General Crime Section took over for the girl and started chatting with the 42-year-old. For nine days the man continued to make requests for photos and meetings in secluded places in the city, and finally the appointment in Monte Urpinu on a secluded bench.
In the early afternoon of Saturday, the Mobile agents hid in various parts of the park and near the bench where the undercover policewoman sat, waiting for the man to arrive. When the 42-year-old arrived, he sat next to the undercover agent, immediately trying to hug her, but was blocked. His mobile phone was seized where at least a dozen other chats with girls emerged, the police also recovered his computer which will be analyzed to check for any other contacts with minors.
