(ANSA) – ANCONA, AUGUST 22 – The body of Roberto Liviabella, the 61-year-old diver from Ancona who was lost at sea after a dive in front of the Blue Grotto, was found during the night.

After the alarm given by his wife yesterday afternoon, the searches by the men and vehicles of the Harbor Master’s Office, the firefighters and the Coast Guard had also continued with the help of a helicopter and then continued as the dark, between the Blue Grotto and the Fincantieri, until the discovery of the body on the seabed, about 6 meters from the shore, in front of his cave. It was recovered by the fire brigade divers and transported to port.

The Public Prosecutor of Ancona could order an autopsy to ascertain the causes of death. The most likely hypothesis is that the diver had an illness in the water and was unable to return to the surface: he knew the area and the seabed very well. Some ‘grottaroli’ who were on the spot also participated in the research. (HANDLE).
