(ANSA) – SONDRIO, AUG 22 – Bambi, the deer cub adopted by the family of the quarryman-breeder Giovanni Del Zoppo of Chiesa in Valmalenco (Sondrio) in 2020 and now grown up, in the late morning of today he was taken by police officers Provinciale di Sondrio in collaboration with three veterinarians from Ats.
“He was taken to a suitable structure for his hospitality – explains the commander Gianluca Cristini -. Now he is in a large meadow and pasture area, able to guarantee his well-being and that of the people. It could soon become dangerous for the mating season. The area in which it has been found for a few hours already hosts other species of wild fauna, in absolute safety, and is in a village in the Morbegno area, in Valtellina “.
“My father is desperate for what happened. We do not find it absolutely right. He was fine with us and had space to move around”, says Nicola, the son of the quarryman who had collected Bambi in the woods when he was born, in June two years ago and then took care of the animal and raising it with love.
