(ANSA) – CROTONE, AUGUST 27 – Unusual and delicate intervention by the fire brigade to help the first aid doctors. It happened in Crotone where the firefighters of the provincial command were requested by the San Giovanni di Dio hospital to extract the handlebar of a bicycle accidentally stuck, without causing serious damage, in the abdomen of a child of Campania origins on vacation with the family in a tourist village on the coast.
An unusual intervention that of the fighters who, under the supervision of the emergency room health workers, cut and extracted the handlebar and the brake lever that had stuck in the abdomen of the child following the fall from the bike. A complex operation which, however, had a positive outcome with great satisfaction both for the young patient and for the staff of the fire brigade and for the doctors of the Crotone hospital.
