(ANSA) – JESOLO (VENICE), AUGUST 28 – The 2022 edition of the Jesolo Airshow registered a participation of 500 thousand people, all with their noses up, to see the history and the best of Italian Aviation fly, but above all the ‘Frecce tricolori’ of the national acrobatic team.
The skies of Jesolo (Venice) were crossed by 17 air patrols with the event that was opened by the passage of the Aw109 helicopter (nexus of the Guardia di Finanza), followed by the exciting Wing Walker, the acrobatic walk in flight.
The public was then able to witness the first performance of the new AW609 tiltrotor from Leonaro, the passage of the Dassault Rafale (France Air Force) patrol to that of the Hh 139 – 15 / o Stormo and to follow the Legend Formation, the historic Spad XIII R aircraft. (copy of Francesco Baracca’s plane) and Fokker Dr1 M (copy of the Red Baron’s plane) from the Jonathan Collection foundation.
It was then the turn of the Tornado Formation – 6 / o Stormo, the Amx Formation – 51 / o Stormo, the Eurofighter Formation – 51 / o Stormo and the F35 – 32 / o Stormo Formation.
The Cap 231, the T-346 A, the Eurofighter and the C27J of the Flight Experimental Department were then exhibited. To close the event, as has become tradition, the exhibition of the National Acrobatic Team (Pan): the ‘Frecce Tricolori’.
