Sitting under house arrest, the people’s deputy drove tens of thousands of tons of oil products from Russia
Another investigation has been launched against the MP from the Opposition Platform – For Life, Viktor Medvedchuk, who is now under house arrest awaiting trial for high treason. It is being conducted within the framework of criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of power or official position).

“Employees of the Territorial Administration of the GBR of Nikolaev check information on the supply of diesel fuel to Ukraine from the Russian Federation at reduced prices by structures close to the People’s Deputy of Ukraine Viktor Medvedchuk. According to operational information, in early October, a foreign ship under the flag of Panama arrived at one of the terminals of the Nikolaev seaport. A few days later, the same terminal received another foreign ship under the flag of one of the EU countries. According to the documents, the vessels delivered petroleum products weighing more than 30,000 tons each to a Ukrainian LLC associated with the people’s deputy.“, – said in the message of the RRG.
Investigators found that the price declared by the suppliers was nearly half the market price. This allowed the dealers to minimize the payment of mandatory customs payments in the amount of millions of hryvnias. It has been established that the goods are of Russian origin.
Consequence
As part of the investigation, the courts were detained, samples of their goods were sent for examination. “According to the results of the examination, the investigators of the RRT will take appropriate procedural measures“, – said in the message of the Bureau.
Also, during the investigation, the possible involvement and the issue of bringing officials to justice is verified.
