People’s Deputy from the Servant of the People faction Nikolai Tishchenko commented on scandal with Bankova’s pressure on the media.
In his commentary to Segodnya, he denied the information that the President’s Office instructs the “servants” when and where to go on air.
“Nobody tells anyone. We have a strategy, it was from the first days. There was also an offer from me to my group, who wants to be on the air, who feels the desire, skill and professionalism in themselves – people signed up for such groups, and They work. It is normal today in politics when there are speakers, and there are such speakers in the “Servant of the People.” But no one imposes on us, we are people’s deputies of Ukraine, it is impossible to impose any idea on us today. We clearly fulfill our promises, which we took when we went to the races, that’s all. If you look at our steps – they are exactly like that. We promised the land – we made it, we promised the law on oligarchs – we did it. We all keep our promises. “, – said Tishchenko.
What is the essence of the scandal
- TV presenter Miroslava Barchuk said that Bankovaya allegedly “ran into” the talk show “Zvorotny Vidlik” (“Countdown”) on the “UA: Pershy” TV channel with accusations of non-compliance with journalistic standards. According to her, the President’s Office has long and tightly controlled the presence of “servants of the people” on the air, they say, their campaigns are consistent with Podolyak.
- The journalist reported that instead of two “servants” (they were not experts in the energy issue), they called Lyudmila Buimister to one of the programs, which angered Bankova.
- On the next broadcast, the OPU allegedly set a condition that two “servants” would come if the channel refused to invite the non-factional Geo Leros. After refusing to fulfill the ultimatum, the “servants” did not show up on the air.
