The head of the Russian delegation at the Vienna talks, Konstantin Gavrilov, commented on the words of a freelance adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Oleksiy Arestovich, about the possible launch of missiles towards Moscow. RIA Novosti writes about this.

According to the Russian official, Kiev cannot even make tanks, and their words should not be taken seriously, but he did not rule out the supply of British missiles to Ukraine.

“Kiev’s statements about sending missiles to Moscow cannot be taken seriously, they cannot even make tanks,” Gavrilov said.

At the same time, he noted that Russia seriously assesses the threat of possible deliveries of British missiles to Ukraine and Moscow is carefully monitoring this situation.

“We have read this information. In specific conditions, when we would like to annoy our country, especially the British, this cannot be ruled out. But there should be red lines. The British understand this no worse than others. We understand, and they understand,” he said.

We will remind, on October 24, a freelance adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine and a press secretary of the Kiev delegation in the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbass, Alexey Arestovich, threatened Russia with Ukrainian missiles that will be directed to Moscow in the near future.

“These are parity actions in response to the actions of Russia. If it had not been for this aggression, Ukrainian missiles would never have been directed at any Moscow,” he said.

The other day the Russian president said that NATO’s military presence in Ukraine poses a real threat to his country. According to him, the Ukrainian Constitution prohibits the deployment of foreign military bases on the territory of the country, but allegedly NATO “can place anything” under the guise of training centers for the Armed Forces.

“Tomorrow, missiles will appear near Kharkov, what should we do with this? … Here in Romania, Poland, they have installed missile defense (anti-missile defense) systems, but with launchers on which Tomahawks can be placed – strike systems. And it can be done easily, at the click of a button. “, – he said.

Russia is afraid of Ukraine joining NATO

  • These are far from the first tantrums of the Kremlin over the possible membership of Ukraine in the Alliance. For example, on June 30, Putin talked about why he is afraid of Ukraine’s joining NATO. He cited the example of missiles that may end up on Ukrainian territory, aimed at Moscow.
  • President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to Putin’s words about NATO. According to him, the topic of Ukraine’s integration into the European and Euro-Atlantic communities worries Russians very much.
  • And recently, US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin put Russia in its place over Ukraine in NATO. He stated that Moscow has no veto on this issue.
  • Threats erupted from Putin, they say, they will immediately take measures if Ukraine is included in NATO.
