The head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia said that the idea of transforming Ukraine from a parliamentary-presidential republic into a tough presidential – Personal initiative of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov. According to him, such issues should be discussed at a referendum, if there is a public request.
This “servant” said on the air of the program “Hard with Vlaschenko” on the TV channel “Ukraine 24”.
“This is Danilov’s personal position. As far as I know, he did not agree on this information with anyone. This is his personal opinion.”– said Arahamia.
The head of the SN believes that questions about the form of government should be decided exclusively by a referendum.
“Theoretically, if society has such a need, then it can be resolved in a referendum. But, as far as I know, there is no such need, there is not even a big discussion in society. These are just the words of Danilov, who have no company.”– he added.
Background
On October 25, Danilov announced that he was in favor of a tough presidential republic in which the head of state leads the executive branch of government. In his opinion, with this form of government “there is a responsible person who understands what he is doing.”
