Unidentified persons harass lawyers for relatives of victims of MH17, who will appear in court in the Hague in a few days
The National Coordinator for Security and Counter-Terrorism of the Netherlands (NCTV) held a meeting with the lawyers of the relatives of those killed in the plane crash of the flight MH17 over Donbass to provide them with state protection. The Dutch government is forced to take this step, as cases of surveillance of participants in this process have become more frequent.
What is happening is regarded as pressure on lawyers before the start of the speech by the relatives of the victims at the court hearings in The Hague.
The Dutch edition of RTL Nieuws wrote about it.
Surveillance
“Several lawyers spoke about suspicious incidents that have occurred recently. Two of them noticed that they were being followed, as well as their homes, after the trial in Schiphol, where the trial of MH17 is taking place. Another lawyer saw two suspicious men in sunglasses outside his house. A total of four incidents have been reported to NCTV“, Says RTL Nieuws article.
The participants in the meeting came to the conclusion that the Russian special services may be behind the surveillance, which in this way are trying to put pressure on the participants in the high-profile process. NCTV made a recommendation to include lawyers in this case in the state defense program.
