(ANSA) – GENOA, OCTOBER 29 – The prosecutor of Genoa investigates for culpable disaster, against unknown persons, for the cables collapsed on Sunday from the deck of the Genoa Overpass. The cables broke off for hundreds of meters, damaging about fifty cars and injuring four people. The prosecutor Giancarlo Vona entered the crime hypothesis in order to be able to proceed with the investigations and reconstruct what happened exactly.

The cables, the municipal councilor for public works Pietro Piciocchi had indicated, would belong to the Port Authority. Investigators want to understand why they broke away and, above all, if someone were to take care of removing them and who is responsible, if any. To clarify what happened, it is not excluded that the power of attorney asks for an expert opinion.
