US Embassy sees no problem in Ukraine’s use of drones in Donbas
The US Embassy in Ukraine has issued a statement regarding the first use of the Bayraktar strike drone by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbas.
V statement saidthat the Russian-backed side has repeatedly used banned weapons in the region, and that Moscow’s reaction to what happened is not only deceiving, but also contributing to the escalation of tensions.
“We call on both sides of the conflict in Donbas to abide by the terms of the ceasefire, but let’s be clear – the Russian-backed side has repeatedly used howitzer artillery and drones against Ukrainian forces, in direct violation of enhanced measures agreed last year, and recently killed a Ukrainian military“, – said in a statement of the American diplomatic mission.
