1200 packs of drugs not authorized in Italy also seized. The turnover linked to the sale of drugs via parcels to and from Italy grew with the onset of the pandemic period, unlike passenger traffic. In particular, the Fiamme Gialle of Malpensa monitored the flow of postal and express shipments at the Temporary Custody Warehouses located in the Cargo area of ​​the airport, both using analysis techniques and thanks to the canine units, managing to block the hundreds of shipments coming mainly from Spain, the United States of America and some East African countries such as Kenya and Somalia, as well as from the countries of Central and South America constantly under observation.

Shipments were mostly directed to the squares of Varese, Milan, Monza Brianza, Pavia, Bergamo, Venice, Trieste, Genoa, Ravenna, Rome, Naples, Palermo. In some cases, the investigations were characterized by the transnational nature of the illicit phenomena, making it possible to seize drugs in transit to other foreign countries.
