Ukraine and Turkey are negotiating the creation of production facilities in Ukraine for the production of Bayraktar drones. This was announced by the Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasily Bodnar in an interview with Radio Liberty.
According to him, Baykar and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine already have a memorandum on opening a repair center for such drones and a training center, as well as plans to create a plant for the production of these devices.
“In fact, this is a question, perhaps, for months, not years. Now work is underway to allocate an appropriate land plot and begin substantive work on the construction of a storage and repair center,” he said.
He noted that work is also underway to create production facilities and start production of Bayraktars in Ukraine.
“We are talking about the full-scale production of unmanned aerial vehicles” from scratch “, they can be used both for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and for supplies to the markets of third countries,” he added.
“Bayraktars” interested many countries in Europe and Asia.
He also added that Ukraine and Turkey already have a joint venture for the production of a new type of drones Akinci, to which the Ukrainian side supplies engines and some other spare parts.

Germany and France are concerned about the use of the Turkish drone Bayraktar by the Ukrainian army. Countries fear an escalation of the armed conflict in the Donbass.
