(ANSA) – TRIESTE, 02 NOV – Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia 144 new infections were detected on 1,667 molecular swabs with a positive percentage of 8.64%. In addition, 6,459 rapid antigenic tests have been carried out, from which 16 cases (0.25%) were detected. Today there are four deaths: a 68-year-old woman and an 80-year-old man, both from Trieste, in hospital; a 74-year-old woman from Azzano Decimo at the Pordenone hospital; a 76-year-old man from Fiume Veneto at the Udine hospital. The number of people hospitalized in intensive care has dropped to 17, while 79 patients are hospitalized in other departments.
This was announced by the deputy governor of the Region with responsibility for Health Riccardo Riccardi.
“In Trieste in particular – the deputy governor noted – the number of infections continues to be high, with 141 out of the total of 160 new positives; unfortunately our forecasts of days ago are confirmed”.
There are a total of 3,860 deaths with the following territorial subdivision: 848 in Trieste, 2,030 in Udine, 685 in Pordenone and 297 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 111,294, the clinically healed 48 and 2,162 people in isolation.
Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 117,460 people have been positive (the total of positives was reduced by one unit following a positive test relating to the province of Pordenone removed after the review of the case), with the following subdivision territorial: 25,093 in Trieste, 53,347 in Udine, 23,321 in Pordenone, 14,067 in Gorizia and 1,632 from outside the region.
With regard to the staff of the regional health service, the following positives were found: in the Friuli Centrale university health authority a nurse and a social health worker; in the Giuliano Isontina university health agency a medical director and a psychologist; a midwife at the Ircss Burlo Garofolo in Trieste.
As regards residential structures for the elderly, the infection of an operator (Trieste) was recorded. (HANDLE).
