(ANSA) – FLORENCE, 02 NOV – Tiziano Renzi, father of the former premier and now leader Iv Matteo Renzi, presented himself in the courtroom at the bunker of Santa Verdiana in Florence where he is among the 15 defendants in the trial for fraudulent bankruptcy and false invoicing relating to business service cooperatives with the family company Eventi 6. Tiziano Renzi and his wife Laura Bovoli are accused of fraudulent bankruptcy and use of invoices for non-existent transactions. A collateral trend was added to this line, in which the Renzi and his daughter Matilde were sent to trial following another investigation relating to alleged tax crimes in the management of Eventi 6. The defendants, in addition to Tiziano Renzi and Laura Bovoli, are directors, members of the board of directors of cooperatives and entrepreneurs. The Ligurian entrepreneur Mariano Massone was initially investigated for fraudulent bankruptcy but he negotiated 6 months last March. Heard the first texts of a list of about 30. Several “I don’t remember”, one of them in the courtroom even changed the version compared to what was declared to the financial police on January 31, 2017. The prosecutor Luca Turco pointed out that it was was hired by Tiziano Renzi. “I don’t know him – said the witness instead -, I’ve never had relations with him, I only know him because I saw him on TV”. This is one of the employees of Delivery Service Italia, one of the cooperatives at the center of the process. For the accusation, Tiziano Renzi and Laura Bovoli were de facto managers of the service co-ops. Also heard the bankruptcy trustees of the failed cooperatives Delivery Service, Marmodiv and Europe Service. Among other witnesses, the wife of a defendant, Roberto Bargilli (he was the driver of Renzi’s camper in the Primaries) took advantage of the right not to answer.
