Ikea evacuated: alarm returned, two women in hospital

(ANSA) – MILAN, 03 NOV – The alarm returned to the Ikea store in Corsico, in the Milanese area, evacuated before 2pm due to a stinging substance in the air. Ikea “promptly activated the security procedures and informed the competent authorities, who intervened on the spot”, explained the company in a note, adding that “following the necessary checks, the authorities have ordered the possibility of returning to the store and the situation is currently under control “.

However, two women with intoxication symptoms were taken to hospital by the 118 staff who intervened at Ikea. It is a 22-year-old girl and a 35-year-old who were taken to the San Carlo hospital with burning throat and cough. Eight other people were seen but not taken to hospital. (HANDLE).
