(ANSA) – BARI, 02 NOV – The citizenship income would have received debt without having the requisites, subtracting from the state coffers about 1.9 million euros from 2020. The Guardia di Finanza of Barletta, in collaboration with INPS staff , reported 290 people residing in various municipalities in the provinces of Barletta Andria Trani and Foggia.
Among the 290 “crafty” citizenship income there are about fifty convicted of mafia crimes and their families, others who did not have the residence requirement, still others who would not have indicated all the income received or winnings from online games or the possession of real estate. There are also some caught in “black” work. The operation follows that of a few weeks ago carried out by military colleagues in Bari against 109 other people, mainly affected and their relatives, who for months would have received the subsidy unduly.
“Undue access to welfare benefits and income support measures – say the financiers – generates inequity and undermines social cohesion, especially in this difficult period of economic and health crisis”. (HANDLE).
