(ANSA) – CHIETI, 05 NOV – 383 irregularities were found in Abruzzo and Molise, 5.9% of checks, and 319 people reported for undue perception of citizenship income, for a total sum unduly received of one million 917.361 , 85 euros. This is what emerges from the checks carried out by the Carabinieri from May to October this year. The data was disclosed in Chieti at a press conference by Brigadier General Paolo Aceto, commander of the Abruzzo and Molise Carabinieri Legion, present the provincial commanders of Chieti, Pescara, L’Aquila, Teramo, Campobasso and Isernia, and the commander of the group for the protection of labor in Rome.
In the two regions, out of 27,632 households of citizenship income earners, 6,445 (10,642 people) were controlled. Among the people reported there are about half (163) registered in the databases, two of them for criminal association. Among the cases of complaint stand out that of a car rental owner, with a share capital of 97,000 euros and owner of 27 cars, who received 6,500 euros of citizenship income and 4,000 euros of refreshments provided for by the ‘Sostegni’ decree. And that of a woman who saw the application presented to the Campobasso INPS accepted, despite the fact that in the previous ten years she had been definitively condemned for impedimental crimes: continued extortion in conjunction with the special aggravating circumstance of facilitating a mafia-type association . And again the case of two Afghans and two Nigerians, refugees who entered Italy for the first time in less than 10 years, already placed in reception facilities of the Sprar project in Campobasso, who pending the definition of the procedures for the recognition of the status of “international protection” have submitted an application for admission to the Citizenship Income, falsely declaring that they reside in the reception facilities where they had been guests, but from which they had already been discharged following closure of the same; they had therefore been canceled from the municipal registry for “unavailability”. For two of them the Prefect of Campobasso had also issued a measure of “revocation of the reception measures”. (HANDLE).
