Tefta Malaj, the woman injured by her husband Taulant Malaj in the night between 6 and 7 May in Torremaggiore (Foggia) when the man stabbed her 16-year-old daughter Jessica was discharged today from the Riuniti polyclinic hospital in Foggia and 51-year-old Massimo De Santis, who he believed was having an affair with his wife. The woman’s resignation from the hospital was announced by the lawyer Michele Sodrio.
“She feels persecuted by all those haters who are heavily attacking her on social media, as if the fault were hers for what Taulant has committed”. Sodrio declares it. The lawyer points out that on the express will of the woman he took action “to find a new home in Tefta far from Torremaggiore, where she absolutely does not want come back to life”.
The lawyer adds that “Tefta needs concrete help for himself and for his 5-year-old child” who are currently being helped “by juvenile social workers who intervened at the disposition of the Bari juvenile court”.
The woman’s lawyer then makes a direct appeal to the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, to intervene “on the request for Italian citizenship that Tefta already made a few months ago”. “She – continues the lawyer – has lived in Italy for over 18 years, her two children were born in Italy and are Italians in all respects. She herself is perfectly integrated and feels she is Italian in the depths of her soul”.
