Hard water from our faucets very quickly stains plumbing fixtures such as faucets and shower heads with white spots. Therefore, in order for them to shine, you have to make a lot of effort, wiping them from limescale several times a day. But there is a life hack how to make this task easier for yourself.
GLOBAL HAPPENINGS dealt with popular tricks and talks about two of them. One is known but not working and the other will really help keep the faucets shiny.
Non-working life hack
On the Internet, it is often recommended to rub faucets with glycerin to repel water. It really creates a protective film on the mixers, but it turns out to be very unstable. Any hit of soap suds dissolves the glycerin coating and the problem returns in full. Therefore, it is pointless to use this tool.
What is the best way to rub mixers
But what really protects against water and, accordingly, lime deposits is paraffin. The oil film that it forms on the surface is not so easily destroyed by soap, that is, this protection will be really more reliable.
To protect the faucets from lime, take a paraffin candle or just a piece of paraffin and rub it thoroughly on all sides. After that, immediately rub the substance on the mixers with a dry cloth. It is best to choose a lint-free microfiber.
