It is better to care for the leaves with only soft, settled water at room temperature. However, sometimes it is not enough.

Vinegar
Many houseplants respond well not only to a slightly acidic soil composition, but also to acidic leaf rubs. The main condition is that the solution must be very weak so as not to damage the sheet plate. So you can use ordinary food vinegar. It should be diluted in the proportion of 1 tablespoon per 3 liters of water. Lightly moisten a microfiber cloth with this liquid and gently wipe each leaf, avoiding excessive moisture. In this case, the sheet is supported from below so as not to damage it. It is important to choose a lint-free fabric for care so as not to leave extra small slices on the surface of the sheet.
Lemon acid
Where vinegar is suitable, you can also use food citric acid. It must be diluted in soft, settled water in a proportion of several grams per liter of water. The solution must be very weak. And it is important to ensure that the agent is completely dissolved. If the slightest granule of acid gets on the sheet, it can burn it.
succinic acid
This substance can also be used to care for the leaves of indoor plants. But, as in previous recipes, it is important not to overdo it here. It is better to take less than to overdo it. One tablet per liter of water will be enough. But it is also important to completely dissolve the product in water.
soapy water
Only natural soaps, such as castile soap, can be used for this method. In water, you need to dissolve a small amount of the product, and then wipe the leaves on both sides with this solution. The advantage of soap “bathing” for plants is that soap kills insect pests, their eggs and larvae. But it is not recommended to regularly carry out the procedure with soap. It is used only to save heavily polluted leaves.
Homemade oil polish mute
The oil of the Asian plant not only makes the leaves shine, but also prevents the development of mold on the leaves and repels insect pests with its smell. You can buy a ready-made polish with dumb oil, or you can make it yourself. It is enough to mix 1 teaspoon of the clarified product with 750 ml of water in a spray bottle and shake the liquid thoroughly to obtain an emulsion. You need to use such a polish very carefully – just a few drops on a rag, because excessive oil can clog the respiratory pores of the sheet. Therefore, this tool is used infrequently and in small quantities. To enhance the protective properties of the polish, you can add 1 tablespoon of natural castile soap to it. In this case, it will become even more effective than pests. Only plants with smooth leaves without villi can be cultivated with the product.
