How to make perfume last all day: application rules that few people know about

Summer heat is the main enemy of spirits. The scent of even the most expensive brands can wear off quickly, leaving those around you smelling sweat and stale.

According to experts, it is important to remember the main factors that will prevent weathering: the right application sites, sufficient moisture levels and optimal concentration. GLOBAL HAPPENINGS figured out how to make the perfume last all day.

Rule 1. Moisturize

Before applying perfume, be sure to apply a quality moisturizer to your skin, preferably unscented. This is the first and basic rule to prevent weathering. It is ideal to use a lotion that matches the aroma of the chosen perfume. Often brands produce lines – perfume, lotion and deodorant.

Rule 2. Pulse points

The pulse points are the warmest places in the body, because it is there that the blood is closest to the surface of the skin. Experts recommend cutting the fragrance into:

  • wrists;
  • the area behind the ears;
  • neck
  • behind the knees (especially true for the summer season of dresses and shorts);
  • behind the elbows.

However, do not overdo it – choose one or two places to spray and do not apply perfume to each of the above points.

The most common mistake is rubbing the wrist after sawing. It is absolutely impossible to do so. This will damage the molecules in the fragrance and change its smell.

Rule 3. Hair

If you want to leave a pleasant trail of fragrance on your hair, you should never apply perfume directly to curls – alcohol will instantly dry it out and ruin their structure. There are special aromatic hair sprays – they should be purchased. Or apply perfume to a comb, wait until it dries and comb your hair.

Rule 4. Concentration

It is necessary to distinguish between perfumes, eau de parfum, eau de toilette and sprays:

  • perfumes are the most persistent and plume, because they contain about 20-40% of aromatic oil;
  • perfumery water contains 10-20% aromatic oil;
  • toilet water contains 10% aromatic oil;
  • body sprays contain only 1-3% of aromatic oil.

It would seem that the choice is obvious – the most concentrated spirits. But experts advise choosing eau de parfum for everyday consumption.

Perfume is applied pointwise – with fingers on the pulse points, they are not sprayed and do not smear their hair.

Shower and toilet water are sprayed into the air, and then they pass by this cloud – so the molecules are evenly distributed over the skin.

Pay attention to the ingredients. Woody and oriental notes will last longer on the skin, and fruity notes will fade the fastest.

Rule 5. Right time

Perfume should be applied immediately after taking a shower – moisture will fix the smell. Do not spray on clothing.

GLOBAL HAPPENINGS used to tell you how to choose your personal scent by mixing several compositions. These rules will make life easier because you won’t have to buy new bottles of the product.
