If you do not deal with them in time, all efforts to grow the crop will be in vain. Therefore, they begin to cultivate a garden from Colorados long before the flowering of this vegetable.

Sprinkling with garlic
Burning substances in the composition of garlic can destroy Colorado potato beetles no worse than store-bought products. It is best to use their properties in the form of spraying. Then the necessary substances will fall on the leaves that the beetles feed on and destroy the pest without damaging the plant.
To prepare the appropriate liquid, you need to take 200 g of garlic cloves – not necessarily peeled, chop them and stir them in a bucket of water. Next, put the bucket on a slow fire and cook, stirring for 60-80 minutes. When the garlic boils well, add 40 milliliters of liquid laundry soap to the product (40 grams of grated dry soap can be dissolved in water), mix the liquid and immediately turn off the fire. The mixture must be allowed to cool and immediately after that it can be used to process potato bushes.
Spraying with onion peel
Onions also do a good job of destroying Colorados. The pest does not even tolerate the smell of this plant, so some of the vegetables that are not used for food can help in the fight against it.
For the preparation of spraying, you will need 0.5 kg of dry onion peel. It is poured into a bucket, poured with 10 liters of cold water, the bucket is covered and left in a cool shaded place for two days. When the infusion is ready, it is filtered and 60 milliliters of laundry soap are mixed into the resulting liquid. Spraying is immediately ready for use.
