“The outcome of the appeal process leaves us somewhat perplexed in the face of what is emerging during the trial on the merits, before the court of Reggio Emilia, which consolidates what was ascertained during the investigation. I represent the bewilderment of some of the victims who do not they can understand how such a decision is possible in the face of what they have suffered”. This was stated by the lawyer Domenico Morace, defender of the civil party in the custody trial in the Val d’Enza, commenting on the acquittal on appeal of the psychotherapist Claudio Foti. Morace is constituted in the ongoing trial in Reggio, not in the abbreviated Foti.
“We will carefully read the reasons to try to understand”, added Morace who assists a mother and a child who have been prevented from having relations with their father. “We renew our trust in justice and in the work of the prosecutor Valentina Salvi and the carabinieri who assisted her”, adds the lawyer.
