(ANSA) – PISTOIA, 09 NOV – House arrest for two wardens of the municipal police of Agliana (Pistoia) following a precautionary custody order issued by the investigating judge and carried out this morning by the carabinieri. The two police officers, who would be graduates, are seriously suspected, for various reasons and in concurrence with each other, of the crimes of persecutory acts, false ideology, slander and disclosure of office secrets.
One of them is also accused of aggravated theft. The offices of the municipal police command were searched and computer media and documents deemed useful for investigative purposes were seized.
The investigation of the carabinieri arises from the report for the theft of a former colleague of theirs, also a security guard, who in November 2020 suffered the theft of her car keys from the locker provided at the Agliana traffic police headquarters. In the investigations on this theft, the carabinieri acquired videos and heard people informed about the facts, an activity which would have revealed a climate of strong tension in the municipal police environment. Hostile behavior towards some ‘unwelcome’ colleagues was detected by the Weapon, which would have resulted in multiple disciplinary proceedings, demotion, insults in the presence of other colleagues and also of user citizens. In the investigations, again according to what the carabinieri reported, elements would also emerge to believe that the suspects sent anonymous complaints and accusers against anyone who opposed their project to “model” Agliana’s command “in their image and likeness”. The two suspects were then subjected to house arrest because, given the role and function, for the investigating judge there are the dangers of repetition of the crime and pollution of the evidence.
