(ANSA) – VIBO VALENTIA, 09 NOV – The Carabinieri of the Investigative Unit and of the Vibo Valentia Company, with the support of the Hunters of Calabria Helicopter Squadron, arrested two cousins ​​of Zungri, aged 19 and 25, believed to be the authors of a robbery carried out on 26 September in a Filandari petrol station. The arrests were made in execution of an order of custody in prison issued by the Gip of the Court of Vibo Valentia at the request of the Prosecutor.

The military investigations, conducted by the deputy prosecutor Ciro Lo Toro, with the coordination of the prosecutor Camillo Falvo allowed the Carabinieri to reconstruct the dynamics of the event, also documented by the video surveillance images of the plant. A young woman, stopped to refuel, was suddenly joined by two young men who dragged her out of the vehicle and savagely beaten several times and then disappeared in the victim’s car. The vehicle was found by the military the same night, abandoned after a road accident, in the town of Zungri.

The collaboration of the victim and another witness to arrive at the identification of the alleged perpetrators proved to be fundamental.

The two were also charged with the crime of injury: the woman was caused to rupture the nasal septum and swelling in both eyes. In addition, the 19-year-old who got behind the wheel of the robbed car was also challenged for damage and drunk driving. (HANDLE).
