(ANSA) – GENOA, NOV 13 – In Savona the anti-Covid procedures have started for some passengers who tested positive for the coronavirus on board the Costa Smeralda cruise ship, moored in the port. There are four passengers, including two German tourists and a woman from the province of Monza. They are all asymptomatic: Covid positivity was ascertained in one of the screenings provided for by the Costa Cruises protocol.

The news leaked after seven ambulances of the White Cross of Savona went to the port to pick them up. Three positives (the two Germans and the Lombard tourist) were taken to the hospital in Genoa with three ambulances, while their family members, who tested negative but landed as a precaution, were reported respectively to Germany and Monza as the protocols provide for the use ambulances also for the transport of asymptomatics and contacts. A seventh ambulance headed for Alassio instead.
