In the operations room, the evolution of weather conditions continues to be monitored, while the alert remains high throughout the island.
A first estimate of the damage has already started in the municipalities most affected by water bombs, almost all in southern Sardinia, with the epicenter of Cagliari and Sulcis. Governor Christian Solinas is following the situation in constant contact with operators. “We are close to the affected populations”, says the President of the Region, expressing his condolences for the only victim of Cyclone Blas, an 81-year-old elder overwhelmed by a sea of water and mud while he was in his car in Porto Pino.
