(ANSA) – CATANIA, NOVEMBER 23 – A 33-year-old found in possession of computer devices that contained hundreds of videos and images of child pornography, even with childhood victims, was arrested for dissemination of child pornography on the internet by the Catania postal police.
The material was found during a search ordered against the man, an unemployed man who lives in the province of Syracuse, by delegation of the Catania District Prosecutor.
The arrest was validated by the public prosecutor of Syracuse, who ordered home detention.
The investigation of the Catania Postal Police Department originates from a report sent by the National Center for the Contrast of Child Pornography-Online (Cncpo) of the Postal Police Service of Rome which forwarded the information to colleagues in the Etna capital for appropriate investigations. The investigative investigations led to the identification of the author and to gathering evidence that allowed the judicial authority to issue a specific personal and computer search order. The seized material will be subjected to in-depth analysis by postal police experts to clarify the methods of acquisition and possible identification of the victims of abuse. (HANDLE).
